Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are run by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK to fund students from eligible Commonwealth countries to study a UK Master’s degree. The scheme offers full funding and includes training aimed at skilled and qualified professionals as well as opportunities for international collaboration. These scholarships are worth a look if you cannot afford UK study without support.

Who can apply
Citizens or refugees of the listed eligible Commonwealth countries or permanent residents in those countries; eligible countries are Bangladesh, Belize, Botswana, Cameroon, Dominica, Eswatini, Fiji, Gabon, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Montserrat, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Saint Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Sierra Leone, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Gambia, Togo, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu and Zambia; available to start UK studies by September 2026; holders of a 2:1 degree or 2:2 plus postgraduate qualification; must not have studied or worked for a year or more in a high‑income country; must be unable to afford UK study without the scholarship and provide all required supporting documentation.

How to apply
You must apply to a participating UK university first and secure university admission in addition to the scholarship application, then submit a CSC application through the CSC Central online system and upload required supporting documents there; contact info@cscuk.org.uk for application system issues.
