The Council of Europe Traineeship Programme lets graduates spend about six months working inside Europe's leading human rights organisation, mostly in Strasbourg.

This programme runs every year; dates usually move little from one round to the next.

Who can apply

Citizens of the 46 Council of Europe member states with at least a bachelor's degree and very good English or French, with good drafting skills.

What is covered

Trainees receive a monthly grant and gain about six months of experience in a European intergovernmental body. There are around 80 places per session.
