The Queen's Commonwealth Writing Competition is a literature contest run by the Royal Commonwealth Society that invites school-aged young people across Commonwealth countries to submit creative writing. It is worth a look if you want recognition, possible attendance in London, and access to free online writing workshops.

Who can apply
Participants from across the Commonwealth. Eligible countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Botswana, Brunei Darussalam, Cameroon, Canada, Cyprus, Dominica, Eswatini, Fiji, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Malta, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nauru, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Rwanda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Solomon Islands, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Togo, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tuvalu, Uganda, United Kingdom, Tanzania, Vanuatu, Zambia. Study level: any. Eligible group: school-aged young people.
What is covered
Winners invited to London. Recognition through competition publicity. Free writing workshops available online.
